Carole Brill of Miller Industrial Properties was one of roughly 200 commercial real estate professionals to earn the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the CCIM Institute on April 30. After years of qualifying tests and study sessions, she passed the comprehensive final exam in Nashville, Tennessee, indicating her mastery of a curriculum that includes ethics, interest-based negotiation, financial analysis, user decision analysis, market analysis and investment analysis. Carole was also required to present a portfolio demonstrating the scope of her commercial real estate experience.
“There are some 150,000 estimated commercial real estate professionals in our country,” says Tom Miller, CCIM and president of Miller Industrial Properties, “And just six percent or so hold the CCIM designation. It’s quite an achievement.” With it, Carole joins a global commercial real estate network whose members span North America and more than 30 countries around the world. This professional network of CCIMs gives members a significant edge in closing thousands of real estate transactions every year, making those who have earned this status a truly invaluable resource for commercial real estate owners, tenants, lessees and investors.
