Longtime Reno Sign Shop Finds a Permanent Home

After three years of looking, Julie’s Sign Shoppe has purchased 13,165 square feet of property on Glendale Avenue. It’s a big change from the company’s humble 1999 beginnings in owner Julie Wilson’s garage. Co-owners Wilson and Christine Harkness partnered with Brad Lancaster of Miller Industrial Properties to find the new property after outgrowing their current space at 4579 Longley Lane.

“Brad was really great to work with,” says Wilson. “We know a lot of industrial and commercial agents, but he knew exactly what we wanted and he gave us his honest opinions.”

The new property at 125 East Glendale, has long been the site of auto repair shops. Lancaster negotiated substantial improvements to the space, which are currently underway, and will continue to manage the construction and improvement plan. Renovations are expected to take about three months. Julie’s Sign Shoppe is hoping to move into its new location before the end of 2015 and is planning a grand opening to celebrate the expansion.
